Who Are We?
At Girls Who Glamm, we believe that beauty is more than skin deep, it’s a pathway to confidence, connection, and growth.
Founded by Kamryn Funderburk, a licensed beauty professional with a heart for mentorship, Girls Who Glamm was created to empower young girls through hands-on beauty workshops that go beyond the salon. We launched our first workshop on April 26, 2025, and since then, we’ve been committed to building a nurturing space where girls can learn, shine, and grow together.
Our program focuses on teaching hairstyling and skin maintenance skills, but it doesn’t stop there. We blend technical training with self-esteem development, mentorship, and real-life tools that help each girl feel confident and capable in every area of her life.
Whether it’s mastering a braid, practicing skincare, or bonding over shared experiences, our girls leave with more than just beauty tips, they leave with a sense of self-worth and sisterhood.
Because when you look good, you feel good.
When you feel good, you perform well.
And when you perform well, you succeed.
Meet the Founder: Kamryn Funderburk
Kamryn Funderburk is the passionate founder behind Girls Who Glamm. A proud HBCU graduate of Winston-Salem State University, Class of 2022, Kamryn was born and raised in Monroe, NC, where she was inspired by her mother—a lifelong salon owner. That early exposure to beauty and business sparked her love for the industry.
In 2023, Kamryn graduated from Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School and quickly made it her mission to not only perfect her craft but also to pour into the next generation. With a heart for mentorship and a deep dedication to empowering young girls, she created Girls Who Glamm as a space where beauty meets confidence, community, and growth.
